The winner of the beauty contest, held in Pskov on November, 16, became a 19-year-old girl Ulyana Kurochkina. This good-looking girl, who got the nickname «Barbie», from Velikie Luki, immediately won the hearts of the audience and a strict jury. Miss Pskov 2007 got the main prize from the sponsor of the contest – tour to Italy.By the way, Ulyana became the 1st Vice-miss of her native city Velikie Luki in 2005 when she was only 16 years old. This time, on the advice of her relatives, she decided to take part in the regional beauty contest in Pskov estimating her winning chances as one to ten.According to the rules of the contest, the girl who takes the first prize will present the Pskov region at the Miss Russia beauty contest. But the organizer of «Miss Russia», who also took part in the casting of the girls for the contest in Pskov, decided to give the chance to two beauties – to Miss Pskov Ulyana Kurochkina and to the 1st Vice – miss Pskov 2007 Olga Vektevski, who needed only one vote to get the crown of the most beautiful girl of the city. The 2nd Vice-miss Pskov 2007 became 22-year-old beauty Ekaterina Artem’eva. The beauty contest «Miss Pskov 2007» gathered 19 girls aged 14 to 23 years old from two biggest cities of the Pskov region – Pskov and Velikie Luki.
